Q. Why do I need to use this Electronic File Uploader & Downloader Device (EFUDD) website?
A. The maximum size of attachments for an email is currently 10 megabytes. If you need to send a larger file size, you now have a way to do it, up to 100 megabytes. Large email attachments have been using large amounts of CCCOE storage space. Using the EFUDD will help with this storage problem. Plus, anything sent or received through EFUDD does not count against your CCCOE mail box storage limit.
Q. How big can the files be that I upload?
A. A total upload size of up to 100 megabytes.
Q. How long will my file be stored on the EFUDD?
A. 30 days.
Q. Can someone who doesn't have a CCCOE email account use the system?
A. Yes. The system is also meant to be used by vendors, outside school site staff, customers, etc.; anyone who wants to send a file larger than what our email system will accept (which is currently a maximum of 10 megabytes). Just give them the EFUDD web address https://efudd.cccoe.k12.ca.us and tell them to follow the website instructions.
Q. How many files can I upload at a time?
A. Four files per upload session. If you have more files to be uploaded, you can go through the upload process as many times as you wish or create a zip file.
Q. Are uploaded files scanned for viruses?
A. Yes. Files will not be uploaded if a virus is detected and the uploader notified that his/her file is compromised.
